
Myrtle Frazier Butler, 84, formerly of Gaston, died Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at Magnolia Gardens in Roanoke Rapids.
She was the owner/operator of Harris Grill in Gaston for many years. She was a kind, caring and giving person, always putting others before herself.
Surviving are her daughters, Ida G. Conwell and husband, Jackie, of Roanoke Rapids, and Brenda R. Gibbs of Wilson, NC; brothers, Marvin Frazier of Wake Forest, NC and John Frazier of Gaston; sister, Vernell Vick of Gaston; grandchildren, Jody Wheeler, Neal Hall, Terry Moore, Donna Campbell, John Harrelson, Jr. and Wade Harrelson; 19 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is a special friend, Roy Flagg.
The family will receive friends at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service Friday, August 5, 2016, from 7-9 pm. Rev. Jimmy King will conduct a graveside service in Cedarwood Cemetery Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 11:00 am.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Magnolia Gardens in Roanoke Rapids (Diane, Ellen, Evelyn and Joyce) for the loving care given to Myrtle.
