Mamie Lee Gray Rhome

Mamie was born May 29, 1929 in Warren County to the late George Pecket Gray and Mitty Smith Gray. She was also preceded in death by her husband: George Robert Rhome; her son-in-law: Darrell Williams; her granddaughters: Michelle Williams and Melissa Williams; three sisters and four brothers.

She is survived by her son: James Rhome and his wife Melinda of Roanoke Rapids; her daughters Dean Williams of Roanoke Rapids and Becky Boso and her husband Albert of Durham; her grandchildren: Tammy Wright, Kathy Calhoun, Angie Melvin, Lori Western, Auburn Williams and Jamie Rhome and five great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Mamie’s life will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday at South Rosemary United Methodist Church with Rev. Sue Owens and Nelson High, CLM officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30 – 12:30 prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to South Rosemary United Methodist Church, 108 Hwy 158, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870.
